Eugen Merher
Eugen Merher is a 2x Vimeo Staff Pick alum, Student Academy Award-nominated writer & director from Germany. He got into filmmaking as a kid using his parents’ DV camera to shoot action flicks with his buddies, inspired by anything from the 90s (in particular Leon: The Professional by Luc Besson).
Since graduating from Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg (Germany) in 2020, cutting his teeth making short films and spec commercials, Eugen also directed a highly acclaimed music video for Rudimental x Charlotte Plank, which has been nominated at the UKMVA’s, Ciclope and various award shows across the industry.
Synopsis
‘The Boy Who Couldn't Feel Pain’ is set in Grants, New Mexico and tells the fictional small-town legend of Chester, a street fighter who can't feel any pain. When Annie, a bowling alley employee who just moved into town challenges him for a fight, things begin to change.
